The Admin Committee focuses on all aspects of administrative matters of top priority such as bylaws, dues structure, events, and other duties as assigned by the Chairman of the Board, as well as develop and implement policy for achieving the Chamber mission.
Leadership Camden Committee Jennifer Lewis, Committee Chair
The Leadership Camden Committee develops a leadership and community based program and curriculum for the Leadership Camden program. The program runs 10 months with the focus on professional leadership development and insight on how Camden County operates. Committee members are responsible for a specific program day and will develop the program based on education, healthcare, military, economic development, Judicial/law enforcement, community involvement, etc.
Government Community Affairs Committee Charlie A. Smith, Committee Chair
The Government/Community Affairs Committee tracks pending legislation on the local, state and federal levels that affect small business. This committee is the voice for all small business.
Military Community Affairs Allen Eldridge, Civilian Chair & CMC Jimmy Schubert, Military Chair
The Military Community Council focuses on bridging the gap between the business community and its leaders and the military personnel of Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay. MCA also promotes business development by providing our local, state and federal elected officials, and the Department of the Navy, with a business perspective on military and legislative matters having an impact upon the Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay. The MCA also coordinates the annual Washington Fly-In.
Small Business Development Committee Alex Blount & Fareed Kadum, M.D., Committee Chairs
The Small Business Development Committee promotes business, economic and workforce development by encouraging expansion, growth of both existing and new businesses by supporting programs that utilize educational resources that promote cooperation and understanding within the business community. The committee places strong focus on spotlighting and recognizing small business. The committee assists and works with the Joint Development Authority (JDA) and Downtown Development Authorities (DDA's),Convention & Visitor's Bureaus and the Camden County Board of Education.
Workforce Development Committee Rachel Baldwin, Committee Chair
The Workforce Development Committee focuses on the existing and future workforce options for Camden County through recruitment and development of people, places and post secondary training resources. The committee continues to utilize resources available, such as the Georgia Work Ready Initiative to build Camden's workforce and attract a "creative class" industry to support a viable quality of life.
Membership Committee Vacant Committee Chair
The Membership Committee and Ambassador Committee promote business development by encouraging all members of any business community to become Chamber members and to maintain the highest level of membership retention.
Ambassador Committee Doug Cooper Committe Chair
The Ambassador Committee assists the Membership Committee in increasing retention rate of membership by conducting ongoing goodwill calls, reinforcing the benefits of Chamber membership, increasing the member's knowledge of the Chamber, attending and participating in all ribbon cuttings and events and keeping channels of communication open between the Chamber and members. Monthly meetings are scheduled the first Thursday of every month.
Marketing Committee Karen Schexnayder & Amanda Johanson, Co-Chairs
The Marketing Committee focuses on helping the Chamber maximize its ability to communicate its message to the membership, community and governmental entities by focusing on increasing the recognition of and participation in all Chamber initiatives. The committee works with the Chamber to ensure maximum impact via various marketing channels (i.e. newsletter, promotion of special events, help with ad design and copywriting, assist in formulating rollouts for new Chamber projects, assist with web content, and advise in collateral and branding).
